At HALO we use Experiential Learning, or, a hands on approach that partners horses with humans to assist in personal growth, learning, and to develop Life Skills.

Experiential Learning focuses on learning for the individual through observation and interaction with the horses in their environment, as opposed to sitting in a classroom or reading about them from a book.

Participants learn about themselves and others by participating in activities with the horses, and then by processing feelings, behaviors, and patterns. One of the beautiful things about this is that the experience is individual and therefore will be different for everyone. This partnership with horses offers a fun, different, yet affective approach to learning that everyone enjoys.
